What is IP Rating?
IP stands for Ingress Protection.
It is an international method used to describe the protection a device will have against solid objects and liquids.
An IP rating was comprised by 2-digit numbers, which give you information about the protection level.
- The first number refers to the protection against solid objects – such as dust, sand, dirt, etc.
- The second number refers to the protection against water.
